The South Downs Bunkhouse is situated at Houghton Farm, very close to the point at which the South Downs Way crosses the River Arun. The Monarch’s Way also passes through the village.

The Lock family would be delighted to welcome visitors to their bunkhouse, created in the refurbished traditional barns at the farm. The bunkhouse caters for groups of up to 23 people for events such as private parties, team building events, schools, colleges, family gatherings, and corporate retreats. We are also able to provide guided farm tours for schools and colleges by prior arrangement.

The hamlet of Houghton is within easy walking distance of Amberley Railway Station has two excellent pubs for lunch or dinner and a riverside cafe that caters for breakfast as well as evening meals. In addition there is a cafe at Whiteways which is a short cycle away. The nearby, pretty village of Amberley has a tea rooms and village stores.
